De-Toxic Love | Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 2026
Welcome to De-Toxic Love. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of De-Toxic Love services, including Couples Counselling, Relationship Strategy Sessions, Discovery Assessments, relationship programs, digital resources, courses, website content and related services.
By booking, purchasing, enrolling in or accessing a De-Toxic Love service or paid resource, you agree to these Terms. Some services may also have additional booking, participation, consent or program conditions that apply specifically to that service.
📌 1. Services & Scope.
De-Toxic Love provides relationship counselling, consultations, relationship education, structured programs and practical resources designed to help individuals and couples better understand relationship patterns and make informed changes.
Different De-Toxic Love services provide different levels and types of support. Couples Counselling is a professional counselling service. Relationship Strategy Sessions provide focused guidance around a particular relationship issue, decision or next step. Discovery Assessments are brief introductory conversations designed to explore what is happening and help determine an appropriate starting point.
De-Toxic Love: From Resentment to Reconnection is a structured six-week relationship education and coaching program. It includes educational content, practical exercises and live coaching support. The program is not a substitute for individual mental health treatment, psychiatric care, domestic and family violence services, medical care, legal advice or crisis intervention.
The most appropriate type of support will depend on your circumstances. De-Toxic Love may recommend another service or external professional support where your needs fall outside the scope of the service you have selected.
📌 2. Eligibility & Suitability.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise agreed in writing. By booking or enrolling, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Not every De-Toxic Love service will be appropriate for every person or relationship. Suitability may be considered before or during a service, particularly where there are concerns about safety, coercive control, violence, significant mental health needs, unmanaged substance use or other circumstances that may require specialist support.
De-Toxic Love reserves the right to recommend a different form of support, pause a service or decline to provide a service where it is reasonably considered unsuitable or unsafe to continue.
📌 3. Couples Counselling.
Couples Counselling provides professional relationship counselling for couples wanting support with conflict, communication, resentment, disconnection, trust, intimacy, relationship decisions and other relationship concerns.
Counselling is a collaborative process. While your counsellor will provide professional guidance, reflection and support, no particular relationship outcome can be guaranteed. The purpose of counselling is not to decide who is right or wrong, or to make decisions on behalf of either partner.
Couples Counselling may not be appropriate where there is ongoing violence, coercive control, fear or another significant safety concern. Where these issues are identified, the counsellor may discuss whether another form of support is more appropriate.
📌 4. Relationship Strategy Sessions.
Relationship Strategy Sessions are focused 90-minute consultations for individuals or couples wanting personalised guidance around a particular relationship challenge, difficult decision or practical next step.
A Strategy Session is designed as a focused consultation rather than ongoing counselling. Further support may be recommended where the issues raised require ongoing therapeutic work or another form of professional assistance.
📌 5. Discovery Assessments.
The free Discovery Assessment is a brief introductory video call for individuals or couples who would like to discuss what is happening in their relationship and explore the support options available through De-Toxic Love.
A Discovery Assessment is not a counselling session and does not establish an ongoing counselling relationship. There is no obligation to purchase or continue with another De-Toxic Love service following the assessment.
📌 6. From Resentment to Reconnection.
De-Toxic Love: From Resentment to Reconnection is a structured six-week relationship program for couples. The program combines relationship education, guided learning, practical exercises and weekly live coaching sessions.
Both partners are expected to participate in the program in accordance with the participation requirements provided at enrolment. The program is designed to help couples understand their relationship patterns and create practical change, but no particular relationship outcome can be guaranteed.
Program coaching sessions are part of the structured program and are not a replacement for individual therapy, psychiatric care, domestic and family violence services or crisis support.
📌 7. Payments & Billing.
Fees for paid services are shown at the time of booking, enrolment or purchase. This may include Couples Counselling, Relationship Strategy Sessions, programs, courses and paid resources.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe or another payment method made available by De-Toxic Love. You agree to provide valid payment information and authorise recurring charges where you have selected a payment plan or subscription.
Where a program payment fails, access to program materials may be paused until payment is successfully processed. You are responsible for keeping your payment details current.
📌 8. Cancellations & Rescheduling.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session, at least 24 hours' notice is required wherever possible.
Late cancellations and missed paid appointments may result in the session fee being retained. Where a session forms part of a program, missed appointments and rescheduling are also subject to the participation and scheduling conditions for that program.
If De-Toxic Love needs to cancel or reschedule a paid appointment, reasonable efforts will be made to offer an alternative appointment time.
📌 9. Program Money-Back Guarantee.
De-Toxic Love offers a conditional money-back guarantee for De-Toxic Love: From Resentment to Reconnection. This guarantee applies only to the six-week program. It does not apply to Couples Counselling, Relationship Strategy Sessions or other separately booked services.
To be eligible, participants must complete the program according to the scheduled weekly structure and meet the participation requirements set out in the guarantee policy.
Refund requests under the guarantee must be submitted within 7 days from the end of Week 6. Full eligibility criteria, participation requirements and refund conditions are outlined in our Money-Back Guarantee Policy , which forms part of these Terms.
📌 10. Access & Intellectual Property.
Where you purchase or receive access to De-Toxic Love program materials, resources or digital content, you receive a personal, limited and non-transferable licence to use those materials for your own personal purposes.
All De-Toxic Love content, including videos, worksheets, written materials, frameworks, graphics and other resources, remains the intellectual property of De-Toxic Love unless otherwise stated. Content may not be copied, shared, reproduced, resold or distributed without written permission.
📌 11. Client Conduct.
Clients and participants are expected to communicate respectfully with De-Toxic Love practitioners, facilitators, staff and other participants.
Threatening, abusive, harassing or seriously inappropriate behaviour may result in a session being ended or services being discontinued. Where this occurs, any payment or refund arrangements will be considered in accordance with these Terms and applicable consumer law.
📌 12. Privacy & Confidentiality.
Your privacy is important to us. Personal information provided through enquiries, forms, assessments, counselling, consultations, worksheets and program participation is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .
Information discussed during counselling and professional consultations is treated as confidential, subject to professional, ethical and legal limits. There may be circumstances where information needs to be disclosed, including where required by law or where there is a serious concern about the safety of a person or child.
Couples work involves information relating to more than one person. Confidentiality, record keeping and communication between partners may be discussed with you as part of the counselling process where relevant.
📌 13. Online Delivery & Technical Access.
De-Toxic Love services may be delivered online through video conferencing, client platforms, email and other digital systems. Program materials may also be accessed through an online learning platform.
You are responsible for maintaining an appropriate internet connection, compatible device and access to the technology required for your appointment or program. De-Toxic Love is not responsible for technical interruptions that are outside its reasonable control.
📌 14. Safety & Service Limitations.
De-Toxic Love is not a crisis, emergency or domestic and family violence response service. If you or another person is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical or mental health support, you should contact an appropriate emergency or specialist service.
Couples Counselling, Strategy Sessions and relationship programs may not be appropriate where there is ongoing violence, coercive control, significant fear, unmanaged addiction, psychosis or other circumstances that make joint relationship work unsafe or unsuitable.
For further information about safety, crisis limitations and when external support may be needed, please review the Support & Safety Guidelines .
📌 15. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability.
Relationships are complex and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Participation in counselling, consultations, programs or other De-Toxic Love services does not guarantee reconciliation, prevention of separation or any other particular relationship outcome.
You remain responsible for the decisions you make about your relationship, health, finances, family and personal circumstances. De-Toxic Love does not provide legal, financial, medical or psychiatric advice through its relationship services.
You are responsible for seeking appropriate emergency, medical, legal, mental health or specialist support where required.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Australian law. Subject to those rights, De-Toxic Love is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of its services or materials to the extent permitted by law.
📌 16. Changes to Services or Terms.
De-Toxic Love may update these Terms from time to time as services, policies or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with the applicable effective date. Changes will apply from the date the updated Terms are published, unless otherwise stated.
