When you participate in Couples Counselling or another service involving both partners, we may collect and hold information relating to each person and to the relationship as a whole.

Information provided during joint services may form part of the service or counselling record. Because couples work involves more than one person, privacy and confidentiality can operate differently from individual counselling. Relevant confidentiality arrangements may be discussed with you as part of the counselling or consent process.

Information discussed during counselling and professional consultations is treated as confidential, subject to professional, ethical and legal limits. Information may need to be disclosed where required by law or where there is a serious concern about the safety of a person or child.

Payments for De-Toxic Love services and products may be processed securely through Stripe. De-Toxic Love does not store your full credit card details. Payment information is handled by the payment provider in accordance with its own security and privacy requirements.

Personal information may be stored within secure client management, appointment, communication, payment and record-keeping systems used by De-Toxic Love. This includes GoHighLevel, our client management and communication platform, and other secure systems used where necessary to provide our services.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No electronic or online system can provide an absolute guarantee of security.

Online counselling, consultations, assessments and coaching sessions may be conducted through Google Meet or another secure video conferencing platform advised to you at the time of your appointment.

Sessions are not recorded by De-Toxic Love unless this has been discussed and expressly agreed to beforehand.

Reasonable steps are taken to protect the privacy of online sessions. However, internet-based communication carries some inherent privacy and security risks. You are also encouraged to participate from a private location and use a secure internet connection where possible.

We may contact you by email or SMS in connection with an enquiry, booking, service, resource or program you have requested. This may include appointment confirmations and reminders, payment information, program access, worksheets and other information needed to provide the service.

If you subscribe to our email list, download a resource or otherwise consent to receive marketing communications, we may also send relationship education, resources, service information and other relevant updates.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided. You can also ask us to stop marketing SMS messages. We may still contact you where reasonably necessary to administer an active booking, purchase or service.
